Picking Up or Shipping Your Puppy

Picking Your Puppy Up In Person
In our opinion, it is always best for you to pick your new puppy up in person. We do our best to help make this happen by offering to meet you up to 50 miles away from our location (Farmington, Utah) for no additional fee–there is a $1.50/mile fee for every mile over 50 miles. Please keep in mind that every mile of the round trip is counted.
If you prefer to fly into Utah to pick your new Puppy up, the Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is the best airport to fly into. We will meet you at the Salt Lake International Airport for no charge. If you need us to meet you at another airport, there may be an additional fee. If you are planning on flying in to pick your puppy up yourself, you must contact us first to make sure we are able to meet that specific day. You will need to call the airline yourself to make a reservation for your puppy to fly with you in the cabin. You’ll need to purchase a soft sided pet carrier for your puppy that’s within the dimensions your airline allows. Keep in mind that not all airlines may allow dogs in the cabin.
We meet families outside at departures with their new puppy. As a reminder, you should check with us prior to scheduling your flight to confirm we are able to meet that specific day.

Shipping Your Puppy
While it isn’t our preferred way of getting you your puppy, shipping may be available if requested in certain areas. We recommend looking at the services provided by Star wood animal transport https://www.starwoodanimaltransport.com. The cost will very, based on the services you select. The remaining balance of your puppy is due PRIOR to making online airline reservations. No exceptions! Please coordinate with us as you make arrangements for picking up your new puppy.
As an FYI, airlines have strict rules regarding temperatures in which a puppy may be shipped when using climate-controlled cargo to ship your puppy. If for some reason the temperatures are predicted to be above 85 or below 20 degrees at the place of origin, connecting flight, or the final destination, the reservation will likely be rescheduled. In areas like Las Vegas or Phoenix, temperatures will likely fall outside of the guidelines for a number of months; using a flight nanny or picking your puppy up yourself is the best option in areas like these.

Using a flight Nanny
The temperature guidelines mentioned above do not apply when you or someone else picks up your puppy and flies with them. Ultimately it is about ensuring that your puppy arrives home safely. You can explore flight nanny prices at https://petnanny.us. Generally, you pay the cost of the flight and a fee for the person acting as the nanny.
